Babette Hughes, the founder of Sublime Travel, is a self-described nomad who has been traversing this planet since she was a toddler. While her life plan originally centered around management and social work, she soon found out that her true gift and calling was helping others explore the world on their own terms.
Her passion for travel began when she agreed to travel with her father on business trips to Ecuador, Guatemala, and Russia. She was always fascinated by the types of people that she met, the sounds of different languages, unique customs, and landscapes.
While other teenagers were out late every weekend at parties, Babette was babysitting to save money for her next adventure. Babette considers herself very privileged to have been able to explore more than 65 countries to date. This includes traveling by herself, traveling as a family, traveling as a couple, and even as a group for 56 days around Europe while in grad school.
Babette’s true passion and gift is to work very closely with her clients to help them understand exactly how they like to experience the world. She focuses on the nitty-gritty details that make a difference. Babette is a vacation matchmaker. Her success comes when she understands her clients so well that she can put together a trip that is exactly what they envisioned. Her clients often comment on how perfect the trip was for their travel style, their pacing their family dynamics.
